Bipolar Diagnosis Children Bipolar Diagnosis can reveal many symptoms of this problem. Since symptoms share the same signs as any other mental illness, there is more difficulty in diagnosing children for a bipolar diagnosis. Kids at a very young age may have characteristics similar to bipolar signs. Children are normally delinquent, anxious, and their learning curve is still developing constantly at this time.
